Notable experience prior to joining Simpson Thacher includes representing:

  • APG Asset Management (acting for Stichting Pensioenfonds ABP) on its joint venture with Greystar to establish a new Dutch Essential Housing Venture with a first tranche commitment of €420 million
  • A sovereign wealth fund on its joint venture platforms with Greystar for student housing and PRS accommodations in the United Kingdom and the Netherlands
  • CPPIB on its acquisition of Round Hill Capital’s minority stake in the RHESA partnership and acquisition of the “Nido Living”, a leading European PBSA operator and manager, and its joint venture with Hamilton-Pyramid Europe for a new European hotel investment platform with initial equity commitment of €500m and acquisition of the W Rome Hotel
  • TPG on its disposal of the science and technology Arlington Business Parks to Brookfield Asset Management for c.£715m, and (together with Ivanhoé Cambridge) on the sale of their interest in P3 Parks logistics business to GIC for approximately €2.4 billion

Palina Pradhan is Counsel in Simpson Thacher’s Real Estate Practice. Based in London, Palina advises on a broad range of corporate real estate transactions on behalf of leading international private equity investors, sovereign wealth funds, pension funds, corporations and property companies. She concentrates her practice on complex, cross-border real estate mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, restructurings and other investments.

Prior to joining Simpson Thacher, Palina was an attorney at another international law firm. She received her LL.B. and B.S.S. from Macquarie University in 2008, where she was inducted into the Golden Key International Honor Society. Palina is admitted to practice in the New South Wales Supreme Court and the Federal Court of Australia.
