Jeff Cohen is Senior Counsel in Simpson Thacher’s Energy and Infrastructure and Banking and Credit Practices. Based in the Firm’s Los Angeles office, Jeff represents a broad range of lenders, developers and investors in connection with a variety of general corporate finance and investment matters, particularly in the energy and infrastructure sectors. He has deep experience advising on project financings, tax equity financings and investments, non-recourse debt financings and mergers and acquisitions, among other matters. Jeff focuses his practice on the development, financing, construction, acquisition and disposition of large-scale energy and infrastructure transactions, including renewable energy, telecommunications and emerging technology.
In addition to his legal practice, Jeff is also a Certified Public Accountant, uniquely positioning him to advise clients on their most complex financing and investment matters with a nuanced understanding of their individual needs. Prior to joining Simpson Thacher, Jeff was a corporate partner at another large international law firm.
