Simpson Thacher is representing Livingston International Inc. (Livingston) in its announced sale to Platinum Equity (Platinum). The financial terms of the transaction have not been disclosed. The transaction is expected to close in the first half of 2019, subject to satisfaction of customary closing conditions.
Founded in 1945, Livingston is an international trade-services firm based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, which specializes in customs brokerage, freight forwarding and trade consulting. It is Canada’s largest customs broker and the third-largest entry filer in the United States. Founded in 1995, Platinum is a global investment firm with approximately $13 billion of assets under management.
