Compañía General de Combustibles Completes US$300 Million High Yield Debt Offering

The Firm represented Compañía General de Combustibles S.A. (“CGC”) in connection with an offering of US$300 million 9.5% Senior Notes due 2021. The offering was CGC’s inaugural high yield bond offering in the international capital markets and was conducted in reliance upon Rule 144A and Regulation S under the U.S. Securities Act of 1933.

CGC, part of the Corporación América conglomerate group, is an independent energy company in Argentina that engages in the exploration, development and production of natural gas and crude oil in the Patagonia.

The Simpson Thacher team for the debt offering included, among others, David Williams, Juan Francisco Méndez, Luis Pellerano and International Associates Hector Cárdenas and Juan Vial (Capital Markets); and Jonathan Cantor and Michael Badain (Tax).
