Simpson Thacher Represents Apax in $7 Billion “Candy Crush” IPO for King Digital Entertainment

The Firm represented Apax in connection with the pre-IPO reorganization and redomiciliation of King Digital from Malta to Ireland and the sale of ordinary shares in the initial public offering of King Digital Entertainment plc. The gross proceeds from the offering were approximately $500 million. King Digital Entertainment plc’s ordinary shares are now listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol “KING.” The Firm also represented King Digital as borrower in connection with a $150 million asset-based revolving credit facility.

King Digital is a mobile game developer offering over 180 games, including the popular “Candy Crush Saga,” with 128 million daily active users as of December 31, 2013.
