Simpson Thacher was honored as “International Law Firm of the Year” and “Securities Firm of the Year” at Law.com International’s Asia Legal Awards 2021. In addition, the Firm was recognized for its work on KKR and Rakuten’s $1.6 billion acquisition of a controlling stake in Seiyu, which was named “Private Equity Deal of the Year,” and for advising KKR in connection with its investment in Jio Platform’s $20 billion fundraising, which was selected as “TMT Deal of the Year.” The Asia Legal Awards celebrate important transactions and cases with the most complex and outstanding legal work in Asia.
