Maya Reeves is a Partner in the Private Funds Practice at Simpson Thacher and is based in the Firm’s Houston office. She advises sponsors on the formation, structuring and operation of private equity funds, including buyout funds, infrastructure funds and co-investment funds, as well as funds-of-one and other similar custom arrangements.
Maya’s practice reflects a particular focus on middle-market funds in North and South America. Her experience includes representing some of the largest and most prominent private fund sponsors such as Blackstone, Carlyle, Grosvenor, KKR, Integrum, Palladium, Patria and Stonepeak in connection with numerous private fund formations.

Maya has been with Simpson Thacher since receiving her J.D. in 2016 from Columbia Law School, where she was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar. She received her B.A. in 2011 from the University of Michigan, where she graduated with distinction and earned a Scholar Recognition Award. She is admitted to practice in New York.
