Based in our London office, Marc Hecht is a Partner in the Firm’s Restructuring team. Marc has extensive experience in domestic and cross-border stressed, distressed and insolvency situations. He advises the full spectrum of stakeholders regularly representing debtors, creditors, capital solution providers, sponsors, management teams and insolvency practitioners. Marc also advises clients in connection with acquisitions of distressed assets and companies and has familiarity with offshore restructuring and insolvency regimes having previously practiced in the Cayman Islands.

- DTEK, Ukraine’s leading privately owned energy company, on the restructuring of its entire capital structure which included various English schemes of arrangement and a consensual override of its bank facilities
- Bibby Offshore, in connection with its debt for equity restructuring implemented through an English scheme of arrangement
- The LATAM Airlines group and joint provisional liquidators in connection with restructuring implemented through a coordinated chapter 11 in the U.S. and related provisional liquidations in Cayman
Marc recently chaired a panel at the American Bankruptcy Institute’s annual conference, was a panel member at R3’s annual conference, has authored various articles and was a published panelist in Financier Worldwide’s Distressed M&A Roundtable
Marc received his LPC from College of Law, London and his GDL from BPP University Law School, London. He received a B.A. from the University of Leeds.
