A Partner in Simpson Thacher’s Executive Compensation and Employee Benefits Practice, Linda Barrett focuses on executive compensation, employee benefits and ERISA matters. She has extensive experience advising a wide variety of clients, including private equity funds and publicly held corporations, with respect to the executive compensation and employee benefits issues arising in complex transactions including mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, take-privates, sales, spin-offs, initial public offerings and other deals. She also designs and implements employee compensation and benefit programs, including the negotiation of executive employment and separation arrangements for both companies and executives.

Her work spans numerous sectors, including technology, financial institutions, fintech, energy, media and entertainment, business services and transportation, among others.
