Krista Miniutti is a Partner at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP, where she is a member of the Real Estate Department. Krista represents private equity firms and portfolio companies in commercial real estate acquisitions and dispositions, joint ventures and financings. Named a Law360 2022 “MVP” in Real Estate and one of Globe St.’s 2021 “Women of Influence in Real Estate,” she has represented clients on a broad range of domestic and international real estate transactions including public-to-private transactions, securitized and mezzanine financings, and portfolio acquisitions. Krista regularly advises clients on all aspects of their transactions, including coordinating advice from internal and external tax advisors and ERISA and Fund counsel. Krista’s clients include the real estate funds of The Blackstone Group, KSL Capital Partners, Motel 6, Northwood Investors and Westbrook Partners.
Krista was previously a Deputy General Counsel and Managing Director for AIG Global Real Estate Investment Corp. where she was responsible for managing and implementing all legal aspects of AIG Global Real Estate Investment Corp.’s alternative funds business with responsibility for 13 private equity and alternative investment vehicles throughout the United States, Mexico, Europe, India and Asia. In that role, Krista provided strategic advice and negotiated transactions relating to the formation and disposition of AIG Global Real Estate fund interests, including co-investment strategies.
Krista received her J.D., cum laude, from St. John’s University in 1996 and her B.A. from the University of Scranton in 1993. Krista was a Counsel at the Firm prior to her election as Partner. She is admitted to practice in New York.
