Jodi Schneider advises clients on the tax aspects of a broad range of corporate matters, with a particular emphasis on fund formation matters. She has assisted many of the Firm’s private equity clients – including some of the world’s most sophisticated sponsors – in the structuring of their funds and fundraisings, and has also advised tax-exempt clients – including university endowments and private foundations – in their capacity as private fund investors. She also works on a variety of other corporate transactions, including real estate transactions, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and credit and capital markets financing transactions.

Jodi Schneider is a Partner in the Firm’s Tax Department. She advises clients on the tax aspects of a broad range of corporate matters, with a particular emphasis on fund formation matters. She has assisted many of the Firm’s private equity clients – including some of the world’s most sophisticated sponsors – in the structuring of their funds and fundraisings, and has also advised tax-exempt clients – including university endowments and private foundations – in their capacity as private fund investors. She also works on a variety of other corporate transactions, including real estate transactions, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and credit and capital markets financing transactions.
Jodi has advised clients including Blackstone, Carlyle and Centerbridge on the tax aspects of fund formation matters, from fund structuring and documentation through to investor structuring discussions and side letter negotiations. Noteworthy fundraisings Jodi has advised on include Seven Seas Advisors’ inaugural opportunistic Japanese real estate fund, which raised ¥17 billion; Centerbridge Partners’ second real estate fund, which raised $2.3 billion; Carlyle’s ninth U.S. real estate fund, which closed at approximately $8 billion; Blackstone’s inaugural growth equity fund, which raised $4.5 billion; and T Capital Partners’ TCAP VI Series Funds, which raised ¥80 billion. Jodi also has significant experience with open-ended funds and in continuation fund transactions.
