Chet Kronenberg, senior Los Angeles litigator, represents clients in a wide range of complex commercial litigation, including defending clients in consumer, employment, insurance and securities lawsuits, and government investigations.   • Lead counsel for L3 Technologies and L3 Unidyne in class action lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California alleging that defendants’ background investigative consent form did not comply with the Fair Credit Reporting Act;
  • Lead counsel successfully defending Vivint Solar (complete dismissal) in consumer class action lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California alleging that Vivint Solar pulled credit reports on consumers without a permissible purpose in violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act;
  • Lead counsel successfully defending Vivint (complete dismissal) in lawsuit pending in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California alleging, among other things, violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act on account of Vivint’s use of a disclosure form containing state law disclosures in addition to the required federal disclosure;
  • Lead counsel for Suncrest Solar in wage and hour class actions brought by former employees in California state courts;
  • Lead counsel for Vivint Solar in declaratory judgment action brought by a former employee in San Mateo Superior Court challenging the enforceability of a non-competition clause;
  • Lead counsel for SiriusXM Radio in consumer class action lawsuits filed in California state and federal courts;
  • Lead counsel for Nature Home Flooring in obtaining $17.2 million judgment against a former officer and director for embezzlement; and
  • Lead counsel in litigation arising out of corporate acquisitions and related transactions, including the acquisition of Excel Trust by Blackstone; the acquisition of TNS by Siris Capital; the acquisition of M*Modal by One Equity Partners; the acquisition of Tekelec by an investor group led by Siris Capital; the acquisition of Alloy Media by an investor group led by ZelnickMedia; the acquisition of MedQuist Inc. by MedQuist Holdings; the acquisition of Airvana by an investor group led by SAC Private Capital; and the acquisition of Hilton Hotels by affiliates of The Blackstone Group. 

Chet was elected to membership in the Firm in 2001. He received his B.A. from Tufts University in 1990 and his J.D. from the New York University School of Law in 1993. Chet currently serves on the board of directors of the Southern California Tennis Association and Levitt & Quinn Family Law Center.
