Prior to joining Simpson Thacher, Caroline was co-head of the intellectual property and technology transactions practice group at another international law firm. She previously served as in-house intellectual property and technology counsel at a Fortune 100 company, where she focused on business unit and asset divestitures and new business ventures.

Caroline received her J.D. from University of Virginia School of Law in 2006, where she was managing editor of the Virginia Sports & Entertainment Law Journal and was on the senior editorial board of the Virginia Journal of Law & Technology. She received her B.A. in English Literature from Stanford University in 2003.
