Dorothy Hector is a Partner in the Banking and Credit Practice in the Firm’s New York office. She regularly acts as counsel to private equity sponsors, their portfolio companies and corporate borrowers on a wide range of banking and credit transactions. Her work includes advising on acquisition financings, bank and bridge loans, investment grade financings, refinancings and other general corporate finance transactions. She has also counseled leading financial institutions as lenders and arrangers on a variety of financings.

Dorothy Hector is a Partner in Simpson Thacher’s Banking and Credit Practice and is based in the Firm’s New York office. She regularly advises leading private equity firms and their portfolio companies and other corporate borrowers on acquisition financings, bank and bridge loan financings, investment grade financings, refinancings and other corporate finance transactions. Dorothy has also counseled leading financial institutions as lenders and arrangers on a variety of financings.

- Cohesity in connection with the financing related to its combination with Veritas’ data protection business in a transaction valuing the combined company at $7 billion
- Haveli Investments in connection with its majority recapitalization investment, together with Bregal Milestone, of M-Files Corporation, a leading platform for knowledge work automation
- Blackstone and Copeland in connection with the financing related to the sale by Emerson Electric Co. of its remaining interest in the Copeland joint venture for a transaction value of approximately $3.5 billion
- Silver Lake Partners in connection with the financing related to its announced acquisition of Endeavor Group Holdings, Inc., in partnership with the Endeavor management team and additional anchor investors, in a transaction valuing the company at an equity value of $13 billion and a $25 billion enterprise value
- Hub International Limited in connection with its offerings of $1.1 billion senior secured notes and $1.9 billion senior notes and amended credit facilities of $4.86 billion incremental term loan and $35 million incremental revolving commitments
- Blue Owl Real Estate Net Lease Trust in its term loan and revolving credit facilities
- Charlesbank Capital Partners in connection with the financing related to their majority investment in Petra Funds Group, a leading fund administrator serving private investment firms
- Caliber Collision in connection with its $1.25 billion senior secured notes offering, $2.75 billion incremental term loan and $625 million incremental revolving commitments and amendment of its senior secured credit facilities

Dorothy has been with Simpson Thacher since she received her J.D. cum laude in 2017 from Harvard Law School, where she was awarded the Dean’s Award for Community Leadership. She received her B.S. magna cum laude in 2012 from Georgetown University and an M.S. with merit in 2014 from the London School of Economics and Political Science. She is admitted to practice in New York.
