A member of the Firm’s Public Company Advisory Practice, Joshua Teitler advises public companies on regulatory compliance and corporate governance considerations related to their status as public companies. He regularly advises U.S. and non-U.S. public companies on all aspects of their compliance with the U.S. securities laws and the listing requirements of the major exchanges in the United States. He also advises on SEC and stock exchange reporting and disclosure requirements, disclosure of board and executive compensation, corporate governance, conflicts of interest, shareholder proposals, director independence, and other general corporate law matters.

Based in New York, Josh is Counsel in the Firm’s Public Company Advisory Practice. He advises U.S. and non-U.S. public companies on all aspects of their compliance with the U.S. securities laws and the listing requirements of the major U.S. exchanges. He also advises on SEC and stock exchange reporting and disclosure requirements, disclosure of board and executive compensation, corporate governance, conflicts of interest, shareholder proposals and director independence. His practice also focuses on new developments and changing best practices in governance matters.
Prior to joining Simpson Thacher, Josh was Vice President, Assistant General Counsel at Cantor Fitzgerald where he primarily focused on securities and corporate governance matters for two public companies: BGC Partners, Inc. and Newmark Group, Inc. Prior to focusing his practice on public company matters, he had a broad capital markets practice where he represented both issuers and underwriters on a wide range of capital markets transactions, including various equity and debt offerings.
