Jon Kaplan is Counsel in the Firm’s Litigation Department. In addition to his client work, Jon has an extensive and wide-ranging pro bono practice including work on behalf of veterans, students with disabilities, victims of domestic abuse and indigent criminal defendants. Notably, in 2022, he was profiled by Sanctuary for Families for his work representing a victim of domestic abuse in her efforts to obtain an order of protection against her abuser as well as full custody of her children.

Jon received his J.D. from University of Pennsylvania Law School in 2016, where he was awarded the James J. Manderino Trial Advocacy Prize, as well as the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Public Service Award and served as Managing Editor of the Journal of Law and Public Affairs. He earned his B.Sc. from Cornell University in 2011.
