Based in the Firm’s London office, Jenny Leung is Counsel in the Corporate Practice. Jenny focuses on matters across the energy and infrastructure industries. She advises private equity funds, infrastructure funds and corporate clients on a wide range of complex domestic and cross-border private M&A and take private transactions, carve-outs and bolt-ons, joint venture and consortium transactions and restructurings, among other corporate matters.

  • KKR on multiple engagements, including in connection with its recommended offer to acquire ContourGlobal plc for total offer consideration of £1.75 billion; recommended offer to acquire John Laing Group plc for total offer consideration of £2 billion; acquisition of a majority stake in Coty Inc.’s professional beauty and retail hair businesses (now known as Wella) with an enterprise value of $4.3 billon, and Wella in its acquisition of Briogeo; and various sales of minority stakes in Viridor’s energy from waste business to sponsors and infrastructure investors, including Equitix and TCorp

Prior to joining Simpson Thacher in 2020, Jenny practiced at a top-tier Australian law firm in Sydney and spent time on secondment to a magic circle firm in Hong Kong.

Jenny received her LL.M. from the University of Sydney in 2016. She received her LL.B. in 2013 and her Bachelor of Commerce in 2011 from the University of Sydney.
