Notable experience prior to joining Simpson Thacher includes advising:

  • GoldenTree Asset Management in the closing of its inaugural Private Credit Fund with commitments of more than $1.35 billion, surpassing its target of $800 million to $1 billion
  • Angelo Gordon in multiple fundraisings, including the $1 billion AG Asset-Based Credit Fund, exceeding its $800 million target
  • An emerging credit manager focused on structured and private credit deals in the closing of $4 billion in commitments to both managed accounts and its flagship co-mingled hedge fund
  • A middle eastern sovereign in connection with its minority stake acquisition of a large U.S. registered investment manager with over $100 billion in AUM

He also has experience advising fund of funds, sovereign wealth funds and pension plans in their investments.

Jake received his J.D. from Columbia Law School in 2015. He received an M.A. in Art History from University of Alberta in 2011 and a B.A. in French and History of Art from University of California, Berkeley in 2007, where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He is admitted to practice in New York.
