Simpson Thacher is advising ProAssurance Corporation in connection with its announced acquisition by The Doctors Company for $25.00 per share in cash, in a transaction valued at approximately $1.3 billion. The transaction is expected to close in the first half of 2026, subject to customary closing conditions, including approval by ProAssurance Corporation’s shareholders and receipt of regulatory approvals.
