Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP today announced that Adam Cromie and Matthew Fisher have joined the Firm as Partners in the M&A Practice. Adam will initially be based in the New York office and is slated to transition to the Washington, D.C. office next year. Matt will be based in the Boston office.

Adam’s practice focuses on advising public and private companies and boards of directors across a variety of M&A transactional matters, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures and majority and minority investments. He advises on matters across a broad range of industries, including healthcare, technology, manufacturing and sports and entertainment. Prior to joining private practice, Adam worked for Major League Baseball’s Washington Nationals for nearly a decade. He joins the Firm from Jones Day.
Matt counsels private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies, as well as corporate clients, on complex transactional matters. His practice focuses on leveraged buyouts, mergers, divestitures, growth equity investments, joint ventures and recapitalizations, in addition to other corporate matters. His work spans numerous industries, including asset management, healthcare, life sciences and technology, among many others. With Matt’s addition, the Firm continues to selectively grow the Boston office, which opened in September and now houses six partners and senior counsel across multiple practice areas. He joins the Firm from Kirkland & Ellis LLP.
