Simpson Thacher represented subsidiaries of NextEra Energy Resources in the formation of Nitro Renewables Holdings, LLC, a joint venture with funds managed or advised by affiliates of Blackstone Inc. to co-own and develop a portfolio of hybrid renewable energy projects. NextEra Energy resources contributed the portfolio, and received consideration of approximately $900 million in connection with the formation of the joint venture.
