Simpson Thacher represented the agents, RBC Capital Markets, LLC and U.S. Bancorp Investments Inc., in an offering by Northwest Natural Gas Company (“NW Natural”) of $100 million aggregate principal amount of its 5.75% Secured Medium-Term Notes, Series B due 2033.
NW Natural is a local distribution company that currently provides natural gas service to approximately 2.5 million people in more than 140 communities through 795,000 meters in Oregon and Southwest Washington. NW Natural owns and operates 21.6 BcF of underground gas storage capacity in Oregon. NW Natural is part of Northwest Natural Holding Company, (NYSE: NWN), which is headquartered in Portland, Oregon, and owns NW Natural, NW Natural Renewables Holdings, NW Natural Water Company and other business interests.
