Simpson Thacher advised Sterling Investment Partners ("Sterling") in connection with the final close of Sterling Investment Partners IV, L.P. ("SIP IV") with $934 million in capital commitments. SIP IV exceeded the $900 million fundraising target and includes a significant commitment from Sterling.
Sterling is a private equity firm that has been investing in and building middle-market companies for over 30 years, with a focus on value-added distribution and business services. Over its history, Sterling has completed over 210 transactions, representing over $25 billion in gross transaction value.
