Simpson Thacher represented affiliates of Silver Lake (“Silver Lake”) in connection with their role as lead investor in a $500 million Series G financing round in eShares, Inc., d/b/a Carta (“Carta”), a cloud platform that connects the ownership network to increase transparency and liquidity between shareholders. The financing round valued the Company at $7.4 billion.
Carta’s online capital markets platform includes over 20,000 companies and more than one million investors, law firms and employees.
