Simpson Thacher is advising Certara, Inc. (Nasdaq: CERT) in connection with its acquisition of Insight Medical Writing. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Founded in 2002, Insight Medical Writing offers regulatory services and medical writing. Its medical writers are all PhD trained and come from diverse backgrounds such as molecular biology, oncology and pharmacology. The acquisition expands Certara’s regulatory science capabilities in the U.K. and Europe.
Certara accelerates medicines using biosimulation software and technology to transform traditional drug discovery and development. Its clients include more than 1,650 global biopharmaceutical companies, leading academic institutions and key regulatory agencies across 61 countries.
