Simpson Thacher represented Silver Lake in connection with raising approximately $20 billion for its sixth buyout fund, Silver Lake Partners VI (“SLP VI”), which reached its hard cap for limited partner capital commitments. Reported to be the largest-ever technology-focused private equity fund, SLP VI will pursue large-scale growth investments in a wide range of opportunities driven by the broad impact of technology across the global economy. In total, Silver Lake now manages approximately $75 billion in combined assets under management and committed capital.
