IFLR Names Simpson Thacher “U.S. Law Firm of the Year” and “PE Team of the Year” as Part of Asia-Pacific Awards 2020

Simpson Thacher was named “U.S. Law Firm of the Year” and “Private Equity Team of the Year” as part of the 2020 IFLR Asia-Pacific Awards. The Firm was honored for advising on several significant deals in the region, including representing Blackstone in its acquisition of Ayumi Pharmaceutical, KKR in its Indian acquisitions of EuroKids and Ramky Enviro Engineers, and on the IPOs for both Embassy Office Parks REIT and LOTTE REIT. IFLR noted Simpson Thacher had a “strong showing in the equity and private equity practices” and “is no stranger” to being recognized as having the top PE team in Asia. The IFLR Asia-Pacific Awards honor legal innovation in cross-border transactions in the region.
In addition, the Firm was recognized for having advised KKR in its groundbreaking acquisition of LCY Chemical, which was named “Private Equity Deal of the Year.”
