Simpson Thacher represented the initial purchasers, led by Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith Incorporated and J.P. Morgan Securities LLC, in connection with the Rule 144A / Regulation S offering by Broadcom Inc. (NASDAQ: AVGO) of $11 billion aggregate principal amount of senior notes over five tranches. Broadcom Inc. plans to use the net proceeds to repay outstanding indebtedness under the credit agreement entered into in connection with its acquisition of CA, Inc.
