Simpson Thacher Litigation Team Earns “Shout Out” from The AmLaw Litigation Daily for Dismissal of Securities Class Action

A team of Simpson Thacher litigators earned a “Shout Out” from The Am Law Litigation Daily for winning a motion to dismiss with prejudice a securities class action complaint brought against La Quinta Holdings Inc., The Blackstone Group L.P. and certain La Quinta officers and directors, alleging violations of federal securities laws. The court held that the plaintiff failed to plausibly allege any material misstatements or omissions. The article, titled “Shout Out: Simpson Thacher Strikes Again With Securities Fraud Win for Hotel Chain,” appeared in the August 24 edition of the publication.
