Simpson Thacher represented the underwriters, led by HSBC Securities (Canada) Inc., RBC Dominion Securities Inc., BMO Nesbitt Burns Inc. and Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC., in connection with Apple’s (NASDAQ: AAPL) first-ever Canadian dollar-denominated private placement offering. Apple Inc. offered C$2.5 billion aggregate principal amount of notes due 2024, the largest corporate non-financial borrowing in Canadian history. Since 2013, Apple has raised over $100 billion across the global debt capital markets, the largest amount of any corporate issuer over this time period.
