Simpson Thacher recently represented the underwriters, led by J.P. Morgan Securities LLC and RBC Capital Markets, LLC, in a public offering of $500 million in aggregate principal amount of 5% Senior Notes due 2027 by American Equity Investment Life Holding Company (“AEL”).
American Equity Investment Life Holding Company, headquartered in West Des Moines, Iowa, issues fixed annuity and life insurance products, with a primary emphasis on the sale of fixed index and fixed rate annuities.
