Simpson Thacher Represents Underwriters in $2.5 Billion Debt Offering by Philip Morris International Inc.

The Firm represented BNP Paribas Securities Corp., Citigroup Global Markets Inc., Credit Suisse Securities (USA) LLC, Deutsche Bank Securities Inc. and ING Financial Markets LLC as joint bookrunning managers, in connection with a registered public offering by Philip Morris International Inc. of $700 million of 1.625% Notes due 2019, $300 million of Floating Rate Notes due 2020, $1 billion of 2% Notes due 2020 and $500 million of 2.625% Notes due 2022 to be listed on the New York Stock Exchange. The offering closed on February 21, 2017.

Philip Morris International Inc.’s subsidiaries and affiliates and their licensees are engaged in the manufacture and sale of cigarettes, other tobacco products and other nicotine-containing products in markets outside of the United States of America. Philip Morris International Inc.’s products are sold in more than 180 markets and, in many of these markets, they hold the number one or number two market share position.
