The Firm was once again ranked in Tier 1 for its Antitrust, General Commercial, Insurance and Securities Practices and in Tier 2 for its Bankruptcy, Intellectual Property and White Collar Practices. A client noted to Benchmark, “Simpson Thacher has many litigators who are very experienced in handling complex, multi-faceted litigation involving novel issues.”
The New York and Washington D.C. practices were again both listed as “Highly Recommended,” the publication’s top ranking, and the California litigation practice was listed as “Recommended.”
Benchmark also recognized 29 of the Firm’s litigation partners in this year’s rankings and additional accolades, including the recent “Top 250 Women in Litigation” list and the “Under 40 Hot List.” The publication quotes a client source saying, “They are all smart, strategic and responsive, and consistently exercise good judgment. They are not only very good lawyers, but they also know how efficiently to run complex litigation.”
To commemorate Benchmark Litigation’s 10th Anniversary, this year the publication highlighted the “Top 10 Stars” for each practice area. Four of the Firm’s partners were recognized as a “Top 10 Star” in their respective practice area including Kevin Arquit (Antitrust), David Woll (General Commercial), Mary Beth Forshaw (Insurance) and Jon Youngwood (Securities). These lists were compiled based on six months of intensive peer, client and case review.
