Simpson Thacher is representing Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. L.P. in connection with its announced acquisition of Mills Fleet Farm, a Midwestern retailer of lifestyle merchandise focused on suburban and farm consumers. This transaction, which is subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals, is expected to close in the first quarter of 2016. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Through its 35 retail stores located across Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa and North Dakota, Mills Fleet Farm offers consumers a range of national brand and private label goods, including fishing and hunting products, auto parts, farm and pet supplies, home improvement goods, clothing and footwear, toys and food.
