Simpson Thacher recently represented Morgan Stanley & Co. International plc in connection with the international offering to institutional investors pursuant to Rule 144A and Regulation S of 6,300,000 shares of mixi, Inc.’s (“mixi”) common stock. mixi sold 3,600,000 shares and the selling shareholder sold 2,700,000 shares. Morgan Stanley served as the sole manager for the international offering.
mixi, one of Japan’s leading internet services companies, operates the popular mobile game Monster Strike, which surpassed 30 million cumulative unique device downloads in May 2015. mixi also operates a social networking service in Japan and a diverse portfolio of online products and services.
