Simpson Thacher recently represented the international managers in connection with the offering of 99,606,500 shares of Rakuten, Inc.’s (“Rakuten”) common stock, which included an international offering to institutional investors pursuant to Rule 144A and Regulation S. Daiwa Securities Co. Ltd. served as the global coordinator for the domestic and international offerings. Joint lead managers for the international offering were Goldman Sachs International, Daiwa Capital Markets Europe Limited and Morgan Stanley & Co. International plc.
