Simpson Thacher represented Aricent in connection with its acquisition of SmartPlay Technologies (“SmartPlay”). The financial terms of the transaction were not announced by the parties. The transaction closed on August 7, 2015.
Aricent is a leading pure-play product engineering service and software firm. KKR and Sequoia Capital are key investors in Aricent. SmartPlay is a fast-growing product engineering services firm based in Bangalore, India. SmartPlay has expertise across semiconductors, embedded software and system design.
Simpson Thacher acted as international counsel.
