Sony Corporation Completes Approximately ¥300 Billion Offering of Common Stock

The Firm recently represented Sony Corporation in connection with its offering of an aggregate of 92,000,000 million shares of common stock, which included an international offering to institutional investors outside of the United States pursuant to Regulation S and inside the United States in a manner exempt from registration under the U.S. Securities Act of 1933. The offering is expected to raise a total of approximately ¥300 billion, assuming the exercise in full of the overallotment options.

The international offering was led by J.P. Morgan Securities plc, Nomura International plc and Morgan Stanley & Co. International plc. 

Sony Corporation and its consolidated subsidiaries are engaged in the development, design, manufacture, and sale of various kinds of electronic equipment, instruments and devices for consumer, professional and industrial markets as well as game consoles and software.
