Simpson Thacher recently represented the underwriters, led by J.P. Morgan Securities LLC, Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith Incorporated and Wells Fargo Securities, LLC, in connection with the registered public offering by Oracle Corporation of $2.5 billion aggregate principal amount of 2.5% senior notes due 2022, $2.5 billion aggregate principal amount of 2.95% senior notes due 2025, $500 million aggregate principal amount of 3.25% senior notes due 2030, $1.25 billion aggregate principal amount of 3.9% senior notes due 2035, $2 billion aggregate principal amount of 4.125% senior notes due 2045 and $1.25 billion aggregate principal amount of 4.375% senior notes due 2055.
The net proceeds of the offerings are intended to be used for general corporate purposes, which may include stock repurchases, payment of cash dividends on common stock and future acquisitions.
