Simpson Thacher Hosts Sallie Krawcheck at 85 Broads/Kate Stoneman Project Breakfast

Sallie Krawcheck, a former senior executive on Wall Street and the new owner of 85 Broads, the global women’s leadership network, spoke at a breakfast hosted by the Firm on Wednesday, July 17, 2013.  Krawcheck addressed approximately 100 women on topics relating to the U.S. banking system and the professional advancement of women.  85 Broads is a professional women’s network with 40 chapters in 130 countries.  It was founded in 1997 by former Goldman Sachs executive Janet Hanson and is named for 85 Broad Street, the former headquarters of Goldman Sachs.  The Kate Stoneman Project is a leadership project comprising the women partners of 10 prominent New York-headquartered law firms.  Simpson Thacher partner Marissa Wesely introduced Krawcheck, who was interviewed by Simpson Thacher partner Lori Lesser.
