The firm is representing Del Monte Corporation (“Del Monte”) in its announced acquisition of Natural Balance Pet Foods, Inc. (“Natural Balance”). The purchase price and financial terms are not disclosed. The transaction is expected to close in mid-June, subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory clearances.
Del Monte is one of the country’s largest producers, distributors and marketers of premium quality, branded pet products and food products for the U.S. retail market and also produces and distributes private label pet products and food products. Natural Balance is a maker of super-premium pet food for dogs and cats sold throughout North America, Europe and Asia.
