Simpson Thacher Represents Underwriters in $500 Million Senior Notes Offering by Reliance Steel & Aluminum Co.

Simpson Thacher represented the underwriters, led by BofA Merrill Lynch and J.P. Morgan, in a public offering of $500 million of 4.500% Senior Notes due 2023 by Reliance Steel & Aluminum Co. (“Reliance”). The notes are guaranteed on a senior unsecured basis by certain of Reliance’s wholly-owned domestic subsidiaries. The net proceeds from the offering are being used to finance a portion of Reliance’s acquisition of Metals USA Holdings Corp.

Reliance, headquartered in Los Angeles, is the largest metals service center company in North America (U.S. and Canada). Through a network of more than 240 locations in 38 states and 10 countries outside of the United States, Reliance provides value-added metals processing services and distributes a full line of over 100,000 metal products to more than 125,000 customers in a broad range of industries.
