Simpson Thacher Represents GSI Holdings Corp. in its Announced Sale to AGCO Corporation for $940 Million

The Firm is representing GSI Holdings Corp. and its largest stockholder, affiliates of Centerbridge Partners, L.P., in its announced sale to AGCO Corporation for $940 million in cash. GSI Holdings Corp. is a leading global manufacturer of grain storage systems and protein production systems and sells its products globally through more than 500 independent dealers.  AGCO Corporation (NYSE: AGCO), is a worldwide manufacturer and distributor of agricultural equipment. The transaction is expected to close before the end of 2011, subject to regulatory approval.

The Firm previously represented Centerbridge in its 2007 acquisition of GSI Holdings Corp.
