Simpson Thacher partner John Ericson spoke at a conference sponsored by Iberian Lawyer magazine and website on March 22, 2011 entitled, “The Future is Here: Managing Legal Services in a Changing World.” The conference, attended by lawyers from law firms active in Spain and Portugal and general counsels of Spanish and Portuguese corporations, focused on challenges to the legal profession in Iberia posed by economic circumstances, competition and developments in technology. Mr. Ericson spoke as a panelist for a workshop on the new wave of regulation in Europe and the United States following the global financial crisis.
