The Firm recently acted as the dealers’ counsel for the issuance by Korea Gas Corporation (KOGAS) of US$500,000,000 4.250% Notes due 2020, where BofA Merrill Lynch, Citi, Deutsche Bank, Goldman Sachs International and UBS acted as joint bookrunners and joint lead managers and Hana Daetoo Investment Bank acted as a joint lead manager. The notes were issued under KOGAS’s US$3 billion global medium term notes (GMTN) program in reliance upon Rule 144A and Regulation S under the Securities Act of 1933, as amended. The Firm also recently acted as the dealers’ counsel in the establishment of the GMTN program by KOGAS, where Deutsche Bank acted as the arranger, together with 10 other dealers.
KOGAS is a government-controlled distributor of natural gas in Korea. KOGAS’s common shares are listed on the Korea Exchange.
