The firm is representing Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co., Vestar Capital Partners and Centerview Partners in their acquisition of Del Monte Foods Company for $19 per share. The transaction was announced on November 25, 2010 and reflects a total enterprise value of approximately $5.3 billion (including the assumption of approximately $1.3 billion of net debt). Del Monte Foods Company is one of the country’s largest producers, distributors and marketers of branded pet products and food products for the U.S. retail market, and also produces and distributes private label pet products and food products. The transaction is the largest leveraged buy-out of the year to date.
