Simpson Thacher is representing Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. L.P. in the acquisition of a majority stake in Visma AS in a transaction which values Visma at $1.87 billion. Hg Capital, the lead seller in the transaction, will retain a minority stake. The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2010.
Visma AS is the leading provider of business software and business processes for accounting and payroll servicing over 200,000 customers through 85 offices throughout Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark. Visma’s main business segments include accounting software, accounting services and outsourced financial and productivity services, including e-procurement and debt collection.
