Simpson Thacher Represents Underwriters in $1.1 Billion Debt Offering by Symantec Corporation

Simpson Thacher recently represented the underwriters, led by J.P. Morgan, Morgan Stanley and UBS Investment Bank, in a registered public offering of $350 million principal amount of 2.750% Senior Notes due 2015 and $750 million principal amount of 4.200% Senior Notes due 2020 of Symantec Corporation.
The net proceeds of the offering are being used for general corporate purposes, which may include the repayment of Symantec Corporation’s outstanding 0.75% Convertible Senior Notes due June 15, 2011.
