Simpson Thacher represented Continental Casualty Company and The Continental Insurance Company, each of which is a subsidiary of CNA Financial Corporation, in the sale of CNA Financial's Argentinean subsidiary, CNA Aseguradora de Riesgos del Trabajo, to QBE the Americas, whose parent company is Australia’s largest insurance company and among the top 20 insurers in the world. The transaction closed on June 4, 2010.
