Simpson Thacher Represents KKR in Connection With Its Investment in Ambea

The Firm recently represented KKR in connection with its joint investment with Triton in Ambea, a leading healthcare and care company in the Nordic region.
On 23 February, 2010 Triton entered into a binding share purchase agreement to acquire Ambea from 3i and others for €850 million. KKR’s investment is in the form of preferred and convertible preferred stock. Subject to European regulatory clearance, KKR will convert its convertible securities into equity and become a joint lead investor with Triton on a 50-50 basis.
